Get started with Veylu.

1. Use desktop Chrome 138+ on a compatible device with Chrome’s Translator and LanguageDetector APIs available.
2. Open the extension and choose your source and target languages.
3. If a model is missing, open Settings → Download language packs. Choose a source language, search for the target, and click Download. Keep the preparation view open until it finishes.
4. Pause typing for about 0.6 seconds to translate the complete text. Use page or bilingual mode for readable webpage content.
5. WhatsApp Web assistance is optional. Enable it explicitly, choose “My” and “Other” languages, and review the native draft yourself. Veylu never sends messages automatically.

Draft protection and focus

Existing or manually edited WhatsApp drafts are protected. Clear the native draft to resume automatic translation. Changes to your source text replace the complete extension-owned translation. After a successful update, focus and caret return to the source field unless you selected another control.

Common questions

Extension updated? Copy any unsent text you want to keep, then refresh the webpage to connect the new content script.

API or language unavailable? Chrome’s device support and available language pairs determine readiness. Veylu reports limitations and keeps your source text; it has no cloud translation fallback.

What can’t be translated? Browser-protected pages, images, inaccessible frames and unloaded content. Complex page layouts and model wording can vary. Check important translations yourself. WhatsApp assistance works in WhatsApp Web, not native apps.

Pricing? All features in this release are free. Paid WhatsApp features are planned for a future release; pricing and terms will be disclosed before activation.
