Veylu uses Chrome’s built-in AI to translate text, readable webpages and optional WhatsApp Web drafts on compatible desktop devices.
All features in the current release are freeText translation
Pause typing to translate the complete text. Search languages, manage favorites and download supported language models.
Read webpages
Replace readable text in place or compare source lines with their translations. Restore extension-owned changes when finished.
WhatsApp drafts
Optional assistance updates the native draft from your complete source text. Review and send it yourself. Veylu never sends messages for you.
Requires desktop Chrome 138 or later, compatible hardware and available Translator / LanguageDetector APIs. Chrome may download models. Supported languages and pairs depend on Chrome. A version number alone does not guarantee availability.
The interface supports English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Other interface languages fall back to English. Translation targets are selected independently.
Local by design
Translation text is not sent to the developer or an external translation service. Preferences and chat identifiers may be kept locally; message text and drafts are held only in temporary page memory. Read the full privacy policy.
Current availability and pricing
The Chrome Web Store listing is being prepared. All features in version 0.8.4 are currently free. Paid WhatsApp features are planned for a future release. Any future pricing, purchase terms and data handling changes will be disclosed before paid features are activated.
